“But His trash girlfriend…..”
I can’t speak for everybody but I can say that I have dated and entertained a male that was in a relationship. I didn’t make a habit out of it, but it was that one time, that I was in a relationships and I knew that the guy was in a relationship with his girlfriend that was not me. I’ll never try to condone the situation or my actions, but he was cute lol (Before you side-eye me, we have all done something that we are not proud of.)
Watching my weekly dose of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and watching Tiara say “but his trash girlfriend….” to a guy that she knew was in a relationship but she still wanted, took me back to that situation that I was in. I learned a lot from the situation and I know that nothing good can come from a love triangle, and the bottom line is that you can’t trust a cheater. If he will cheat on her then he will cheat on you!
There will always be a female that is willing to do more, give more, maybe say less, expect less and be okay with everything that you refuse to settle for, the only difference is that a man who values what he has, wont entertain her, a male will embrace everything that she is willing and ready to give.
It not about being number one, it’s about being the only one. Never for a second think that he’ll value what y’all have more than he valued what they had. What you compromise to get, you have to compromise to keep, trust me!
To the girlfriend/fiancé/wife: You are not less than because you chose to give your love to someone who is much less than what you deserve!
To the sideline: You are better than what you think, and what you sow, you will reap!
